I had my baby at Swedish and will not be returning.  The delivery suites are nice (I think they are newish). I had two delivery nurses due to a shift change--one was excellent. The other one was very sweet, but didn't help me much when it came time to push. Â, However, my post-partum experience was terrible.  They rarely checked on me, the nurse who discharged me was downright crazy and the room was the size of a closet.  I like my OB practice but have no interest in returning to Swedish. How many weeks are you? Usually they see you around 8-9 weeks for the first time. Be extra weary of OB offices that are hard to book appmts with. My OB at swedish was constantly overbooked, I would wait sometimes 30-40 minutes past my appmt time to get in and when I called in with a problems with my pregnancy nurses sometimes took 8 hours to call me back! I saw Dr Kimmelman at seattle ob/gyn and I would never ever go back to her practice, your simply a number to them not a patient and they have far too many patients to handle!Â, I received excellent care at Overlake and will definitely go back in a heart beat. My friend delivered her baby at Swedish and while looking at her room, I don't think they are nearly as nice as Overlake's hospital. Even though Swedish said they remodeled but I have no idea what they did because it's still very plain and sterile. You didn't mention when you will be due but Overlake should be done with their remodel by the end of the year. Have you thought about doing a tour of both hospitals? They should both have them available if you look it up on their websites.Â.
