On last weeks AEW Dynamite, Sting appeared in the shows closing segment when he and Darby Allin tried to save the Hardys from the Undisputed Elite, but he suffered a targeted attack from the Young Bucks, which was seemingly a way to write him off TV. In a tweet by AEW, it was explained that The Icon was not cleared for travel, and hence will be missing the Fan Fest Meet & Greets at Double or Nothing. When Cole attacked them from behind, Sting & Darby Allin made the save.
